WHY we should remember people like Maclaren in our times?

This is why….John Robb wrote in his latest blog, why punk rock was so important in the late 70ties.

„Middle aged men talk about music in terms of how people play with no
regard for the soul power and the passion and the ideas- they missed
the point entirely. They don’t get the thrill of the other stuff,
they don’t even get the thrill of the music- being to busy getting
autistic over the musicianship. Boring.“ by John Robb

Just open up any music magazine in 2010, you’ll find them in
there…and the bands fit so well… confused drunken festival goers,
age 20, talk and think and listen to music this way… I turn up MX80
and I hear them sing: „Why are we here? Why are we here…“
