ARP 2600, Metasonix Wretchmachine, Korg MS20, Moogs, Sherman Filterbanks, Vostok and a lot more….When Alec spins he blurs the line between a DJ set and a real recording session.
After his night at legendary Tresor Club in Berlin a few weeks ago, he stayed awake and made this.
Alec: “It was great because I had the record players running into my mixer, had all my gear there, and it felt like surfing or something…keep the beats going and going, do abstract brain stuff on top of it. You know every mix I do is different, and at the moment I love this style…but this can change next weekend…as a DJ you have to stay in motion all the time. I had “Stalker” playing from VHS while I did this…”

this is the strongest electro mix I heard in ages
due to Alec playing his sounds over the vinyls
I wish he would do that in clubs

i usually like his breakbeat side more – but this mix is ace
when ALec djs noise, you can’t tell how good he really is.
dont get me wrong , love his noise sets, but when he is spinning electronica, you just know he was right there from the early years. he knows the skills inside out

yeah im still trying to find myself amongst the mix & listening to it bits at a time. it’s superb. seriously the lives were always top notch & cool but now an electro mix that comes along at the same intensity as that. sincerely i am totally still being blown away by it. give us more like that. mehr bitte. danke. grus. finished listening to it, the first is super super long, then disc 2, shattered in with this weird talk back type thing which reminded me of prince/the talk show host in 5th element, then the dark side. ooooh so cool. so blade runner, very ridley/tony scott. fantastic! grusse & eine gute EYHO halloween auf berlin.
