ALEC EMPIRE “BASS TERROR” 20 TRACKER TO BE RELEASED BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Another project which Alec has been getting ready is the remastered tracks from the
legendary Bass Terror era, the time before digital hard-core started and Empire and
his gang pretty much invented breakcore (yes, we are talking 1991-1993 here!).
A lot of unreleased music which was considered “too extreme” by former label Force Inc. Music Works.
Alec:” We are in the middle of putting the concept together. This is excellent stuff we got here.
We will bang that out before Christmas - I swear….”
Some of the original EPs which were released only on vinyl go for about 200 dollars on ebay,
if someone has them….

yum -i had trouble tracking down all the early alec empire stuff, esp his early cuts. every piece of vinyl or cd i got my hands on was something new and exciting -always sounding totally different from everything else. i wonder if there are any leftover cuts from the “les etoiles des filles mortes” (sp) sessions? That was a big wake up call for me -loved that record, opened my head to all that spooky old 60s electronic laboratory stuff and got me into CV and all that. influenced my own stuff too. more archive raiding please
